I know, I know, logos seem like some sort of cold corporate ploy to get you to buy their products. Most people think of logos as the end result of several focus groups and intense scrutiny by seedy marketing types trying to catch your attention. However, wedding logos or monograms, while not necessarily a ploy by you to convince people to attend your wedding (since you probably have more people on your guest list than you can logistically have at your wedding), but a wedding logo or monogram does serve somewhat the same purpose as a corporate logo, and can help you achieve your perfect, memorable wedding!
Instant Theme- Some people chose to use color as their wedding theme. Some use the season that they are getting married in. Other people use their wedding location. Those themes are all pretty common, but for you, you creative bride you, you don’t want just any theme. You want a theme that shouts your personality. What better theme than one that is completely customized for you and /or by you? A monogram that we can create for you, or your own specially designed logo gives your wedding an instant consistent theme that you can say is all your own!
The Emotion Angle - As if weddings aren’t emotional enough! Like corporate logos, your logo or monogram will be able to conjure up fond memories of your beautiful wedding day. For example, what do you think of with you see the Golden Arches of McDonalds? If you are like me, the answer is Big Macs. The same can be said of when people view your logo or your monogram. People will instantly think of your wedding day and your wonderful style and personality that have gone into the design. It will keep your special day fresh in your mind and your guest’s minds!
A Style All Your Own - Weddings have completely transformed from the events they used to be! It used to be white wedding dress, plain invitations, chapel, and you’re done. Today, couples want their wedding to be an expression not just of their love, but of their style and personality as well. Hence the growing trend of customized invitations, programs and favors. If it can be altered and personalized, it will be. Also, the growing technological sophistication of couples also opens new doors. Couples are more frequently requesting us to print their own special artwork or wedding logo on their wedding invitations, which we are more than happy to do, as we love helping couples create their unique vision of their invitations. However, don’t fret if you don’t have a mind of a graphic designer, because there are plenty of companies who can help you create and design your own logo, such as Love Letter Logos and True Love Logos. Their beautiful designs can help you achieve the look that you desire without having to struggle to know how to design them by yourself!
Have Your Logo Anywhere - Another great perk of a wedding monogram or logo is that it can easily be printed anywhere to give all of your printed wedding items a consistent look. On your Save the Dates, invitations, programs, menus, place cards, even favors, you can have your logo or monogram displayed with style, so that upon one glance, your guests can be sure to recognize instantly a printed product of your wedding. However, there is a word of warning. Just because you can have your logo or monogram printed on anything does not mean you should print it on everything. There is a risk in overwhelming your guests. The best remedy for this, if you fear of going overboard, is to make a top 10 list of where you wish to have your logo or monogram printed, and then cut it in half.
Memories - As previously mentioned, monograms or logos have a way of instantly conjuring up emotions at first glance. And if you get emotional looking at your specially created design before and during your wedding, be sure that after your wedding it will take on even more significance. One of my family members actually created two really unique items with her monogram. The first was she created a wedding t-shirt favors, which was basically a red t-shirt (which was one of her wedding colors) and her monogram on the front of shirt, almost like a shirt brand label. The second, as a wine expert (so she claims at least), was wine labels, with the monogram printed simply but elegantly on them, along with their wedding date and location. The labels she placed on wine bottles from Italy, which is the country that they met in. In this way she created a memorable object on many levels. I can just imagine opening up that bottle of wine on their first anniversary, or their 10th! It is a sweet and romantic gesture that will be sure to recreate their beautiful wedding day for decades to come!
