So fall, my favorite time of year, is upon us again. The leaves are turning, and we are dusting off our heavier jackets. Believe it or not, here at InvitationConsultants.com, the holiday card and wedding invitation orders are rolling in. We have orders for holiday parties, weddings and corporate functions galore. You may be thinking that you want to do something for the holidays to thank your friends, clients, etc. or perhaps you would like to have a party but not necessarily with a holiday theme. If so, there is a new trend that may be just the thing for you… Thanksgiving and Fall Cards and Invitations!
Let’s start with Thanksgiving and Fall Cards. These cards are a very unique opportunity to beat the rush and say thank you to your friends, family or clients for all they have done during the year because really, when you think about it, is there a better time of the year than Thanksgiving to say thanks? Also, it’s a unique opportunity to beat the holiday card pileup that usually occurs around the end of the year. It’s a strange phenomenon. When I receive my very first holiday card of the year, I tend to look at it more than the last card I receive of the season, I guess because I am thinking, “Is it really the holiday season already?”
I took a look at some of my favorite Thanksgiving and Fall Cards and saw a couple of common elements in the colors: burnt sienna, hunter green, pumpkin orange, and buttery yellow. One of my favorite cards is the Farm Fence card because nothing screams fall quite like a colorful autumn tree in an array of colors. Another more Thanksgiving-looking card is Pumpkin Platter, which showcases a fall-themed pumpkin. These cards both also have a whimsical look about them that makes saying thanks oh-so-stylish.
I don’t want to forget about fall invitations, for the fact that the number of fall-themed invitation orders we have seen at Invitation Consultants this year has been amazing. Fall events are so appealing to future brides and event planners alike because of the beauty of the season with its rich colors and increasingly crisp weather. Whether you are planning a fall wedding or just a fall-themed soiree, consider taking advantage of the beauty of fall-themed invitations. For an elegant fall party, I love the Chocolate Mousse invitation because of its simplicity and elegance. For fall wedding invitations, the Magnificent Mocha invitation is both a personal favorite of mine and also is one of our most popular fall invitations.
Why stop at fall invitations? If you are throwing a fall-themed party, consider bringing a touch of fall to your table by using fall-colored leaves (real or faux) or a small pumpkin to decorate? Or you could bring the colors of autumn to your table in your décor. Even a gingham tablecloth is sure to add a fall touch to your party. Even your menu can speak to your theme. Some favorites are sure to be hot apple cider, Pumpkin Dip or even Apple Bread Pudding with hard cider sauce.
There are many great things about fall- the colors, the cooling weather, and the scenery. Fall and Thanksgiving events are another great thing about the season, for so many reasons. It may be easy to overlook the opportunity to send a Fall/Thanksgiving card or invitation with the hustle and bustle of the season. Consider doing something different this year and throwing a fall or Thanksgiving-themed event.
